Millions of phones are lost or stolen every year. Information within the phone can be used for fraud and identity theft.
As phones get more sophisticated they are containing more and more personal information. For the sake of convenience we have inadvertently exposed ourselves to this increasing threat and potential danger. Information like business and personal emails, credit card information, identity information (ie. phone numbers and addresses) can all be easily accessed from within the phone.
GuardMyPhone's goal is that with good user education and software technology we can reduce this risk and feel less helpless when a phone is lost or stolen.
